The 12th China-EU Think Tank Roundtable Held in Brussels

From May 9 to 10, the 12th China-EU Think Tank Round Table co-hosted by China Institute of International Studies, European Policy Centre, EU-Asia Centre and Konrad Adenauder Stiftung was held in Brussels.

More than 20 scholars and officials from CIIS, China Institute for International Strategic Studies, China Institute of Contemporary International Relations, Chinese Academy of International Trade and Economic Cooperation of MFCOM, Brussels?Academy?of?China?and European?Studies, Mission of China to EU, European Parliament, European Policy Centre, EU-Asia Centre, Konrad Adenauder Stiftung, French Institute of International Relations, Polish Institute of International Affairs, Chinadialogue. net, Friends of Europe, Clingendael Institute participated in the conference. H.E. Mr. Qu Xing, Ambassador of China to Belgium and Mr. Ellis Mathews, Head of Division China,?European?External Action Service (EEAS)?attended the reception on May 9 and the official dinner on May 10 respectively.

Participants exchanged opinions through deep discussions on "the Future of EU-China Relations", "Regional Foreign Policy Challenges for Europe and China", "Trade, Investment, Infrastructure and Environmental Cooperation between the EU and China" and "EU-China Cooperation on Global Governance and New Security Threats".

The China-EU Think Tank Roundtable, initiated and held in turns by CIIS and EPC, is the most important communication platform of China and Europe.
